Wedding at The Inn at Grace Farm in Vermont | Katelyn + Johnny

A perfect fall day in Vermont for Katelyn and Johnny’s wedding. They spent the entire weekend with their closest friends and family at the coziest Vermont Inn with unbeatable mountain views.

We started the weekend off with some Oktoberfest and Stone’s Throw Pizza during their rehearsal dinner. A lot of their family and friends were traveling from out of town so they invited me to document the night before their wedding as they were surrounded by their most important people.

They started their wedding morning off with some sunrise yoga before I arrived, along with apple cider mimosas and a delicious breakfast spread. Everyone got ready and the bride and groom snuck off to do a first touch and private vow reading before the ceremony.

Their ceremony had a beautiful mountain backdrop showcasing all of Vermont’s fall foliage in full effect. The rest of the night was full of laughs and a lot of love as the couple celebrated their marriage with their friends and family.

Some of my favorite photos from the day came from us sneaking out right at blue hour for some final couple portraits.

Katelyn (or KP as we call her) and I grew up together and our families became very close over the years. Our brothers hunt together and our moms get together regularly for wine at “Parah’s Pub” (the Parah’s front porch). Katelyn’s mom, Kim, invited me over to their home a couple months before the wedding to document a couple session of her and Gregg. She wanted to make sure they felt comfortable in front of the camera before the big day, and that session is one of my favorites. They read old letters to each other back from when they were dating long distance, and danced across the kitchen floor.

I’ve also had the pleasure of documenting Katelyn’s brother, Cody, and his wife Liz, as they’ve continued to grow their adorable little family. I am so honored that this family has trusted me with so many big life moments.

Kind Words from K + J:

“Jess did an INCREDIBLE job with our wedding photos! We highly recommend working with her. Every single image is amazing, and she captured each moments we could have asked for--and more.

Her style is authentic and relaxed while still being completely professional and artistic. The candids are absolutely gorgeous, and even our more formal photos capture our personalities and the essence of our day.

Jess also gave us a detailed timeline of all the photos she planned on taking and when, which was very helpful in knowing what to expect. We got TONS of sneak peak photos within only 2 days of our wedding, and our entire gallery only took a few weeks.

We can't say enough good things about working with Jess as our wedding photographer!!!”
