Over the years of photographing couples, I’ve learned to notice small gestures or rhythms that are unique to each pair. Some couples will keep me laughing all day with their back and forth banter, some have a connection that is palpable —

To me, it’s never been about next year’s Christmas card.

It’s always been about —

We bought our first home
We are about to become parents
Our baby is turning one
My parents are now grandparents
My baby’s almost done nu
